Roads of Friendships: Mit Riccardo Muti in Kiew, wo er nicht nur erstmals dirigierte, sondern auch ein Friedensprojekt leitete. Hierzu spielte das Jugendorchester Luigi Cherubini aus Italien mit örtlichen Ensembles, darunter Chor und Orchester der Nationaloper. Seit 2014 tobt im Osten der Ukraine ein Bürgerkrieg mit russischen Separatisten. Auf einer denkwürdigen Pressekonferenz zeigt sich schon damals, wie gespalten und explosiv die Stimmung in der ganzen Region ist – im Rückblick ein böses Omen auf den im Februar 2022 beginnenden großflächigen russischen Angriffskrieg in der Ukraine.
Roads of Friendships: With Riccardo Muti in Kyiv, where he not only conducted for the first time but also led a peace project. The Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra from Italy performed with local ensembles, including the choir and orchestra of the National Opera. A civil war with Russian separatists has been raging in eastern Ukraine since 2014. A memorable press conference at the time already revealed how divided and explosive the mood was throughout the region – in retrospect, a dire omen for the large-scale Russian war in Ukraine that began in February 2022.

L’orchestra giovanile italiana Luigi Cherubini ha suonato con ensemble locali, tra cui il coro e l’orchestra dell’Opera Nazionale. Una guerra civile con i separatisti russi infuria nell’Ucraina orientale dal 2014. Una memorabile conferenza stampa mostra quanto sia diviso ed esplosivo l’umore nell’intera regione – in retrospettiva, un cattivo presagio per la guerra di aggressione russa su larga scala in Ucraina che inizierà nel febbraio 2022.
